{"id":288,"date":"2007-04-24T14:25:59","date_gmt":"2007-04-24T14:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.astro.gla.ac.uk\/users\/eduard\/cesra\/?p=288"},"modified":"2007-04-24T14:25:59","modified_gmt":"2007-04-24T14:25:59","slug":"radio-monitoring-of-solar-activity-by-monique-pick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesra.net\/?p=288","title":{"rendered":"Radio monitoring of solar activity  by Monique Pick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce the opening of a new web site Radio monitoring at <a href=\"http:\/\/secchirh.obspm.fr\">http:\/\/secchirh.obspm.fr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This radio survey is a joint effort of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesia.obspm.fr\/\">Paris Observatory<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cc.uoa.gr\/physics\/sections\/astrophysics\/index.html\"> University of Athens<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uoi.gr\/oldsite\/main.html\"> University of Ioannina<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/wwwsolar.nrl.navy.mil\/\"> Solar Physics Branch of the Naval Research Laboratory<\/a>. The site is still under construction. At the present stage, it provides a daily survey (08-16 UT) which includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Radio spectra covering the 600 MHz-30 kHz frequency range. These spectra are obtained by combining data from different radio spectrographs (e.g., <a href=\"http:\/\/secchirh.obspm.fr\/wind.php\"> Wind WAVES<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.obs-nancay.fr\">Nancay Decameter Array<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cc.uoa.gr\/artemis\">ARTEMIS<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Radio imaging at 164 MHz, movies and access to multi-frequency data (450-150 MHz, 10 or 120 second integration), providing files readable by <a href=\"http:\/\/sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov\/solarsoft\/\"> SolarSoft<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/cdaw.gsfc.nasa.gov\/CME_list\/\">CMEs<\/a> observed by <a href=\"http:\/\/sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov\/\">SOHO<\/a> which occurred during the 08-16 UT observing period are also reported<\/li>\n<li>Real time observations by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.obs-nancay.fr\/\"> Nancay Radioheliograph<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 24-hour radio spectra measured by the <a href=\"http:\/\/stereo.nascom.nasa.gov\/\">STEREO A-B<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www-spof.gsfc.nasa.gov\/istp\/wind\/wind.html\">Wind<\/a> missions will soon be included.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-291 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cesra.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/grc20050601.png\" alt=\"grc20050601\" width=\"392\" height=\"517\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cesra.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/grc20050601.png 550w, https:\/\/cesra.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/grc20050601-227x300.png 227w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>On the right is an exemplary 8-hour composite plot from June 1, 2005.
